Poseidon restaurant started with two people who wanted to do something different. A new place in Afiartis. The windiest place on the windy Karpathos, the place where nobody did anything before. Bounded by love and passion they build up their own place, some rooms and a taverna. Hard working, love for nature and surrounding, passion for hospitality, this is what made them succeed. It was there and will grow in the years following. It became a place where people come together, every year again. A place where you had to feel home, where you come to relax. Forget all the stress you have in your daily life.
Regina and George made this place for you, Poseidon Karpathos. A tavern and rooms, surrounded in green of plants and trees. Classic Greek style of building, with white and blue painting. Everywhere view on Damatria beach in front, which is a 80 meters walk down.
During this turbulent years they also made their family, they had 2 daughters, Angela and Karolina. When the time was there they also helped, later worked and slowly toke over.
Me, Angela, I liked the kitchen, I loved to cook, work with flavors. And having a mother who is an excellent cook as well, you have a good base. After finishing cooking school, I searched for more. And what came up? Masterchef, a television program where cooking is a competition. That was a challenge, and the challenge became a success for me. It gave me a boost to do more with the restaurant, every year again. Make the beautiful Greek taverna a Greek restaurant with an international twist. Trips to Holland and hard work in Michelin starred restaurants gave me new ideas. And till today I’m working to bring this experience to you. With passion, love and dedication. And every year you’ll find something new, something different, combined with the o so loved relaxing atmosphere what my parents created and I’ll always keep in my restaurant.
